The red carpet was the usual mix of glitz and glamour at this year’s Golden Globes. And we’re not just talking about the stars that walked it!
With dresses that erred on the simple side, they made up for the modest silhouettes with some seriously stunning diamond jewelry.
Here’s a recap of our top five jewelry pieces from the 2016 Golden Globe Awards.
Taraji P. Henson in Kimberly McDonald at the Golden Globes
Taraji’s strapless white dress was the perfect canvas for these emerald and diamond drop earrings. As a true statement piece, these colored stunners are best showcased best without a necklace to detract from their radiance. However, we loved her decision to pair them with a pear shaped diamond ring from designer Kimberly McDonald.
Sophia Bush in Martin Katz
When going for class and sophistication, nothing beats a single strand Diamond Necklace. In Sophia’s case, it’s the perfect compliment to her plunge neck black gown. We love that she topped off her signature natural beauty with a pair of diamond studs earrings. They’re the perfect way to frame the face and polish any look.
Saoirse Ronan in Chopard
We loved Saoirse’s decision to keep it simple in these white diamond drop earrings. Her look is as clean, fresh and youthful as she is. In fact, she wears them so well that we image her throwing on these Chopard delicate diamond pieces off the red carpet and as part of her everyday ensemble, too!
Eva Longoria in Lorraine Schwartz
Eva Longoria has long been a fashion icon of ours, and her look at this year’s Golden Globes was no exception. That goes double for her jewelry choices! We can’t stop talking about this vintage-inspired ruby and diamond fashion ring. We love that the intricate diamond surround continues along the sides for a unique and elegant element.
Katy Perry in Harry Winston
In our humble opinion, Katy Perry got a lot of attention for her retro bouffant hair-do, and not nearly enough for her choice to don this immaculate floral diamond bracelet designed by the great Harry Winston. It was the perfect way to balance the diamond accouterments we saw on her ears and fingers. A true, “special occasions only” kind of piece!
